Blast Hits Tuz Khurmatu, Killing At Least 21: Medical Sources
At least 21 persons were killed after a blast hit Tuz Khurmatu’s neighborhood of Askari on Tuesday (November 21), medical sources said.
A car bomb blew off in a crowded market in Askari neighborhood in the city of Tuz Khurmatu, according to police.
Medical sources in Tuz Khurmatu hospital said more than 90 others were wounded from the blast.
A reporter in the city said the wounded people were transferred to Kirkuk hospitals.
Tuz Khurmatu, located 180 km north of Baghdad, lies in an area of disputed territory between the Kurdish-administered north and southern regions under the central government, with an ethnically diverse population of Turkmen, Kurds and Arabs.
